I realize that people inspire me, even fictional characters in films, that have stories of triumph.
Sunday, I saw the movie #Creed with Michael B Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. The tagline of the movie is very thought out by the wonderful storyteller, Ryan Coogler:
“Your legacy is more than your name.”
It was nostalgic as I remembered seeing the Rocky films, as a youth and that same inspiration of feeling someone determined to become what they imagined, resurfaced for me with Creed.
When you are inspired, that refreshing feeling and level of empowerment that rushes your body, can come with the same level of fear and doubt – how will I get this done? If I could bottle up the rush and empowerment and inhale it like the essential oil, lemongrass, I would! But as I age, I realize the execution of that inspiration requires you to surround yourself with those who believe in you, encourage and motivate you before you even tell them you are doubting what or how this “thing” will get done. It comes when it is suppose to. A word of encouragement sent via a text, a quote on social media, a story told by a friend of someone else blessing and even a fictional character is sometimes the pivot you need to get done what may have seemed impossible, then becomes possible.
Live simply and take life more easily. #Happiness lies in giving yourself time to think and to introspect. Be alone once in a while, and remain more in silence. – #Yogananda
The Art of Stillness is a recent book that I stumbled upon during my favorite show #SuperSoulSunday. I passed it on to someone else who struggles with stillness )thinks they must be busy physically and mentally all the time) and is in denial about the outcomes of not being present is producing in their lives. Now I know this isn’t always easy because this “thing called life” can make it hard; the hustle and bustle of the day; and demands we and others place on us. However, being present makes for a huge contributor in being happy. How? You focus on the moment and most times you can find much to be thankful for. The mind and body relax and calm and seems to elevate the spirit.
Silence can be scary for some. The time to be introspective can be a time of being critical of ones self and not loving. Something that helps when this arises is heart meditation mixed with recognizing what the heart is saying and offering it words of encouragement.
Try it! #40LifeAfterBirth just gets better.
How can a person with a bad self image harness power? At the level of your true self you already feel complete. You are whole. The only thing the true self wants is to see you whole. Also which involve growth, expansion and evolution. Just being yourself you direct the energy of attraction where it needs to go. There is no need for massive will power. But we make the decision. Personal choices define what gets attracted to us. #DeepakChopra
I have been doing the 21 day Mediation Challenge with Chopra Center. With it has been the most amazing questions at the end. Even though I have been meditating for 10+ years now, in and out, I have been committed to it daily for 7.5 daily. What a life changing thing. But when the question was posed to me I was a bit stumped? I thought I new this already but it really wasn’t the highest vision but a vision. So I ask – What is the highest vision you hold of yourself?
